By simply breaking the word down into its two main components, “photo” and “voltaic,” the word becomes less intimidating and much more understandable – “photo” refers to light, and “voltaic” refers to electricity. But PV power is not just the energy of the future, it is the energy of the present. The technology, while still improving, is already here. The resources necessary for photovoltaic power exist, too. All we need is the will and dedication to move forward and improve our own futures and the future of our planet. We need to instill and install solar power, via solar panels, solar fountains, solar lighting, and other solar accessories, in our homes and businesses.
The first step, though, as with many new ideas and new technologies, is education. That is why we have created this website. We want to educate the public about the benefits of photovoltaic systems and how they work. We want to inform them about the history of and applications of photovoltaic power. And we also want people know about other alternative energy sources.
