The D380 “TwinPack” Microinverter (D380-72-2LL-S13) is comprised of two Enphase Microinverters in a single enclosure and an innovative cabling system, designed to reduce Balance-of-System costs and installation time. The D380 has a black anodized housing which improves aesthetics and allows for better thermal dissipation. The D380 TwinPack is optimized for commercial installations, but it is applicable to both commercial and residential installations.
Enphase D380-72-240-S13: Tyco Connector, 240VAC, for 60 and 72-cell solar modules
The D380's "two-in-one" enclosure cuts in half the number of microinverter units needed for an installation. In addition, the D380's new cabling system reduces the number of interconnections and junction boxes by 33%.
The D380 utilizes an innovative "trunk and drop" cabling system. This new approach makes it even easier to connect microinverter units, and the 12 AWG trunk cable increases current capacity, allowing for 20A branch circuits. This means that you can have more modules per branch circuit:
- 240v: 20 modules (10 TwinPacks)
- 208v: 30 modules (15 TwinPacks)
How many modules can be connected to a D380?
You can connect up to two modules to a single D380.
Does each of the inverters in the D380 have its own MPPT?
Yes. Each inverter has its own independent MPPT.
Can I mix and match modules on the same D380?
Yes. You have the ability to install two different modules on the same D380 as long as each module is listed on the Enphase module compatibility list.
Will the D380 work with a single module?
Yes. Each inverter is independent of the other. It can operate with a single module.
Can each of the modules be oriented in two different directions?
Yes.
Does the D380 have monitoring?
Yes. The D380 continues to use the Enphase power line communication technology for monitoring. Each of the modules and inverters are independently monitored.
